Day Trip to Metz
The Board meeting will take place on Wednesday 20 October 2010 and the General Assembly on Saturday 23 October 2010, in Paris.
A Day Trip to Metz will be organised on Friday 22 October 2010 to visit the Art Centre of Delme (La Synagogue), The Centre Pompidou-Metz and the FRAC Lorraine (Price of the trip, train + bus: 103 €).

The Bambi Foundation: Call for applications
The Bambi Foundation supports contemporary non-object art projects, with an emphasis on experimental cinema and projected image installations. The foundation accepts proposals from a wide range of artists, disciplines and medium, and focuses on works that cannot be easily accommodated by market-based art scenes. It offers up to 8,000 euro per project and even more, depending on the requirements of the project.
In the previous year the foundation has supported projects of artists such as Brice Dellspreger, Catherine Sullivan, Mirjam Thormann and Adam Rabinowitz.
The committee assembles three times a year. Each application should include a short description of the project, timeframe, budget, a short description of the applying artist’s work, and images of previous works.

Vážená rado,
se vzrůstajícím znepokojením sleduje česká kulturní veřejnost váš přístup ke kauze Galerie Klatovy/Klenová. Proces likvidace galerie, jejíž výstavní program byl mezinárodně velmi ceněný, trvá z vaší strany už přes rok. Nerespektovali jste protestní petici z jara 2009 k ochraně GKK, kterou podepsalo více než 1650 osob a významných institucí z oblasti české kultury. Nadto, vaše oficiální vyjádření ze dne 16.5.2010 považujeme za přímo skandální: „Bývalý ředitel galerie Marcel Fišer byl odvolán z důvodu pochybení a nedostatků v oblasti rozpočtu a spolupráce se zřizovatelem. Nebyla dodržena účelovost finančních prostředků, a tím byla hrubě porušena rozpočtová kázeň. Finanční prostředky určené v rozpočtu Plzeňského kraje k výstavbě depozitářů, odborného zázemí galerie, kanceláří a restaurátorské dílny nebyly vhodně použity“. Dovolujeme si vás upozornit, že bez uveřejnění konkrétních výsledků auditu hospodaření galerie, není toto prohlášení více než nařčením a poškozováním dobré pověsti GKK a osobnosti ředitele, jimž jste přivodili existenční újmu.

Dovolujeme si Vás pozvat na zahájení výstavy česko-francouzského projektu Spectator Novus, Praha-Paris v Galerii kritiků, Jungmannova 31/36, Palác Adria, Praha 1.
Vernisáž se uskuteční v úterý 5.5.2009, od 18:00h v Galerii kritiků v Adrii. Setkání s autory je v 17 hodin.
Vzhledem k organizaci návštěv umělců z Francie, plánujeme otevřít tiskovku s občerstvením až následující den po vernisáži ve středu 6.5, dopoledne v 11:30, v Galerii kritiků.
Projekt je náročný, těšíme se, že nás svou návštěvou podpoříte a potěšíte.

Editorial
The sleepy days of summer are well and truly over, and Culture Action Europe is jumping back into the autumn agenda with renewed energy and enthusiasm! Our successful re-brand has given us a renewed determination to tackle the cultural challenges that the coming years will bring. As a result we are working on a programme for the coming years; playing an active role in the EU’s new structured dialogue platforms, engaging with the elections to the European Parliament in 2009 and much more.
This edition of the Culture Action Europe newsletter reflects the variety and range of events and issues that we are following at present. It’s a packed agenda, with many members’ events also taking place over the autumn period.
Right now, the Culture Action office is putting its energies into the final stages of preparation for our 16th Annual Conference in Marseilles. It is going to be challenging and great fun to meet in the Mediterranean city, which has just been confirmed last week as European Capital of Culture for 2013, together with Košice in Slovakia. Please visit the conference website and join us there to make it our best event ever.
